Keyboard doubletyping parts of words!

So, I won this brand new Steelseries Apex Raw keyboard and it's a truly amazing and good looking keyboard!

I quickly ran into problems with it though. Whenever I type quickly, it sometimes double types parts of the word. While typing slowly, everything works fine.

Here are some examples:

haven'nt'
: Pp (added a space to prevent it from being a smiley)
anny

This only seem to happen on some specific letter combinations as I'm only having this problem with same words over and over.

It's really annoying when studying when you have to go back every other minute and correct things or when just generally chatting.

My brothers girlfriend has one of these aswell and she says that she haven't noticed anything like that but then, she isn't really a fast typer!

All advice and help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Edit:
I can't RMA it 'cause Steelseries requires a reciept or a proof of purchase. Since I won this, I don't have any of those.

What specific letter would that be?

Also, as you see, it doesn't necessarily type a letter twice. If you check "haven'nt' ", it adds another N and another ' before and after the T at the end.

Another example would be "beteter" where it adds an E in between the T.

Try another keyboard as in buying a new one and throwing this one?

The keys obviously register 'cause the letters and what not show up on the screen when I press down the keys. I also did a quick test in the Steelseries software and it registers everything.

As I wrote before, I've had this problem since the beginning. As in, I've had this problem since I've opened the sealed package and connected the keyboard to my PC.

Are you suggesting that dust entered the sealed package?

Steelseries is one of the sponsors of Dreamhack, the event where I got the keyboard. You think they'd give out faulty products on purpose? I doubt they'd do that since they basicly do it to promote themselves.. Giving faulty products to promote yourself ain't really the best idea, is it?

Also, I forgot to mention that my brothers girlfriend which also has the same keyboard also won it from the same event at the same time.

it could have miss the quality test and they do not know since it was given to them by the sponsor . the other thing you could try is use your brother girlfriend one for a test if it does the same in your system and your in is since they are same model .

If I tested with the other keyboard and it ended up working fine or still not working, how would that fix my issue?

I need help from someone that knows how a keyboard works. What's causing this and why is it happening?

Also, you need to stop editing and adding things to your posts all the time, it's really annoying, along with your useless suggestions. Maybe read the entire post next time before making me repeat myself 10 times?

I have the same problem. My k/b is an apex (the bigger brother of RAW).

When I type for example "gtr" fast, then "gttr" comes out. Same with "anny", like you.

To reproduce, just press g+t+r and hold them down. Only "g" and "t" are registered. Now release g and you'll see that immediately "tr" are registered at the same time (so "gttr" so far) and from here onwards as you hold down only t+r, "r" is repeating itself.

I don't know why this happens, I bought my k/b brand new. I tried tweaking those individual keys through steelseries engine and change them from 'key press macro' to 'text macro', and though the above didn't happen again, I got other kind of weird behaviour, like "gtrt".
