Keyboard is not working when system turn on

As when we turn on system the system shows to upload is as the hard disk has been changed but to operate it it shows f8 to boot but the keyboard is not showing any light in it and don't work at that time please help me find out how to make it overcome of this problem

What are your PC specs? Does your keyboard have a USB connector, or the older PS/2? If it's USB, have you tried another port?
