Not random keys, but the same keys. Keyboards are close to the heatsinks in all laptops. I think keyboards should have a heat resistance design. Therefore, this problem should not be caused by heat.
Heat isn't really the problem. Keyboards are basically large PCBs with a chip on the side that handles detection of key presses and sending it out to the computer.
You could also have debris under the key caps that's preventing sufficient contact to trigger a press.
