Please help, when I'm playing games like WoW, i use wasd to move, but when I hold w to move forward and then press something else, the w stops working until I release it and press it again. Its very inconvenient, and it applies to all keys. If I hold s then press something else, the s stops working until I release it. Its really hard to play games with that. How do I fix this? Any help will be very appreciated.

you left out the most important information...

is this a problem that has been with the keyboard of the start or is it a recent development? probable causes? brand, model of keyboard?

off the top of my head i would say that its either key-rollover issue where the board doesnt recognize multiple key inputs at once or a faulty/failing board.

most keyboards nowdays should at the very least support 3-6 key presses at once with some being n-key rollover instead (any number). unless you have some no name board made who knows where i would doubt its a rollover problem.

this leaves an internal issue. perhaps due to a faulty design, liquid being spilled inside, or other issue the keyboard isnt able to recognize multiple presses anymore. its not worth fixing (if you even can) so if this is the case its new keyboard time.

before you jump to conclusions though you might want to double check that you have the newest drivers that are compatible with your OS to verify its not a driver issue. also double check your key issues in another game to verify it isnt a wow issue.

Ok, the brand of the keyboard is Genius, its a KB-110 Value Desktop Keyboard, I tried switching keyboards with my other computer with the exact same model and brand but its exactly the same. I also tried it with an older keyboard, the brand is A4tech but the problem is still present. I doubt its the keyboards fault because an internet cafe I go to has the same keyboards from the same suppliers and theirs works fine. I am pretty sure using the latest driver. My computer is brand new as well as the keyboard, its an i5 running on windows 7, perhaps there is a setting I can adjust? At the moment I only have WoW, SCII, and HoN. I will try to bring the keyboard to my friends place and try out WoW there.

Never mind I figured out, my keyboard was plugged to a splitter. i plugged it directly to the cpu and now it works fine. Thanks for pointing out it was a key-rollover issue, that really helped
