Is there a feature within Windows that allows for the mapping of keystrokes
to keys, for repetitous entry of data? Sometimes the data is entered into
forms in IE, sometimes in Outlook Express, also some other programs that do
not have macro facilities themselves.

not built-in to XP as a whole (some apps have it built-in to themselves
only tho, such as Word).

you want a keyboard macro utility; there are free ones out there, and
commercial ones too (QuicKeys is probably the most capable). Google for
'em...
