Keyboard, Mouse, and Monitor not working

My mouse keyboard and my monitor no longer work for some reason. The last time they worked was about 2 weeks ago before I put in a new liquid cooler for my cpu. I then plugged everything back into place and I saw that the monitor didn't work. So I tried plugging the vga adapter in multiple times and then all of a sudden I heard a big pop and smelled smoke. My 2 week old power supply just died...so I got a new one and here I am now w/ my new power supply and the monitor, keyboard, and mouse won't work.

CPU: AMD FX 8350
Motherboard: MSI 990FXA-GD65
RAM: KHX21C11T2K2/8X, 2133 Mhz, 1.6V
CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro H70
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7850
Power Supply: XFX Pro 850 Watts, the one that broke was the same model because I was told this was a good manufacturer and wouldn't happen again.
Hard drive: 500GB Seagate
Operating System: Windows 8
Case: Zalman Z9 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case
Keyboard plugged into PS/2
USB 2.0 Mouse

I've already..

1. Made sure everything is plugged in right.
2. Reset CMOS w/ jumper thingy.
3. Reset CMOS w/ button on motherboard.
4. Put RAM in different slots and 1 at a time.
5. Used components on different computers.
6. Listened for beeps...no beeps
7. Checked to see if everything is running...which is except for monitor mouse and keyboard.
8. Restarted computer about 30 times hoping it'd work all of a sudden
9. Took out both RAM sticks and turned it on. I didn't hear any beeps so I think that POST might not be running? How to fix that.

This is a totally new computer I just build about a month ago with all new parts and I'm already having all these problems...

You listened for beeps. Does that mean you have one of the small piezo speakers hooked up to the header on your m/b?

When you power on, do the fans spin?

Edit: Which components did you try on another computer, and did they work?

Yes the fans spin and everything else is working right. The hdd is spinning the 2 fans on my gpu are spinning everything lol. I also am using my headphones to listen to beeps.

Did you remember to plug in the six/eight pin cpu power?

I also had this problem right after I built my computer the first time. At that time I didn't know if the keyboard and mouse worked but I know for sure the monitor didn't and I just wiggled the cable around for like 10 minutes and restarted it 5 times and it was fixed...no the solution this time though I don't think.

Yes I plugged in the 8 pin connector for cpu then switched it out for a different 8 pin connector. Neither fixed the problem.

What parts did you try on another pc, and did they work?

Sounds like you may have zapped the voltage in to the cpu.

I tried the mouse keyboard and monitor but nothing else because it all seems to be working correctly. Also if I did fry my cpu is there anyway I can check w/o taking it out? The liquid cooling is a bitch to put in.

CPU has liquid cooling w/ heatsink and didn't come w/ fans so I had to use my own. They are also spinning.

I don't think you can listen for post beeps with headphones.

There is really no way to test the cpu other than powering up the board. If it won't power up, but your other electricals are operating, it's either the m/b (probably) or the cpu (less likely). If you can get your hands on one of the piezo speakers and connect it to your m/b, the beep codes should tell you what the issue is.

They should be available at any computer store. Frys, Microcenter, CompUsa(Tiger Direct).

I just found these lights on my motherboard and in the manual it says they are Phase LED lights to show how much power the motherboard is using or whatever and all the lights are on. Is that a good indicator it's not dead?

I'm not an MSI guy so I really don't know. That said, my understanding of those lights are that they indicate power draw. The more lights are lit, the higher the power draw. At idle, I would think only two should be lit, not all eight.

I know you have already reset the cmos, but you might want to try it again. Be sure to unplug the pc from the wall, and discharge the psu by holding down the on switch until the led's die. Once all power has been removed, use the jumper method first - leave the jumper in the clear position for a few minutes, then put the jumper back to the "run" position. Reboot and see if (1) it boots, and (2) if and how many of the led's return.
