I use my mouse and keyboard for 2 devices (I've tried KVM and same issue), and I notice that sometimes when I switch usb's back, my mouse and keyboard does not get enough power to be usable again.
It DOES power up (I use rat mmo and logitech g15 r1) as my mouse does light up but very dimly. I have to restart the PC to fix the issue.
I have no other USB devices connected, it is using USB 2.0 (not 3), and I have plenty of power from PSU (good PSU 750w delta GPS-750AB, PC only draws at most 200-300w).
Tried using both the front USB ports as well as the rear motherboard USBs during this 'shortage' and it just doesn't provide any power. I tried using a small device like a regular dell mouse but even that wouldn't power on (it's LED just switches on for a brief time when I connect the USB).
Anyone know what the issue could be? Bad motherboard? (I got Asus B85m-e, only a couple of months old) bad PSU? (Never had an issue with PSU past few years). Am I missing some kind of setting in the bios for usb powering?
