[SOLVED] Keyboard/mouse LEDs won’t switch on without working GPU upon pc switch on

Hi, my GPU recently died and whilst I was realising this, I noticed that without a functioning GPU, my keyboard and mouse LEDs will not switch on for more than a split second when i turn the PC on.

I was wondering if it was just because of a lack of GPU preventing boot/BIOS or potentially a deeper issue

The rest of the PC works fine, fans turn on etc.

Motherboard: MSI B450M Pro-m2

What CPU?
Just a stab in the dark....some CPUs for that MB come with graphics and some don't.
Maybe if you are using one without graphics....the BIOS knows this and won't proceed without a GPU.
