Keyboard not active; can't boot into bios

I recently bought a new keyboard, the K70 RGB. I tried rebooting my computer to get into the bios and mashed my delete key when the mobo splash screen appeared (which was how I was able to get in in the past). However, it just went past the screen as though I hadn't pressed anything. When I got to the logon screen though, my keyboard worked perfectly fine.

I've had this problem in the past, in which my solution was to buy a new keyboard, ala the one i'm using right now. But now this new one isn't working either, and I don't know what's wrong or what I can do about it. As a result, I'm unable to enter my BiOS due to this problem.

Solution
Is it plugged into a blue USB 3.0 port? Try it in a black, USB 2.0 port instead (if your mobo has both)... I'm not entirely sure but I think sometimes USB 3.0 drivers aren't loaded right away so no data is being sent through the ports until after POST

Another thing you can try is holding the proper function key down BEFORE pressing the power switch to power your computer on, and continue holding it down until it either gets to BIOS or fails to do so...
