I bought a brand new Dell Inspiron 7537 laptop in june of this year. Yesterday while i was using my laptop it shut down for no reason and when i have powered it on again, my keyboard keys were not functioning properly for example the d key was working as page up and E key as end. I have the same issue for C,L,P,6,7,4 keys but all other keys are working properly.i used a USB keyboard and it was working properly. Is there anything we can do at to fix it?

Solution
Here try this:

After enabling FilterKeys, the keyboard keys may not work correctly:
Typed characters no longer repeat when holding down a key.
Typed characters are slow to appear on the screen.
Some key presses do nothing.
Stopwatch icon appears in the system tray (next to the time).

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
Double-click the stopwatch icon in the taskbar.
Or
Click Start, Control Panel, and then click Accessibility Options.
The Accessibility Options window opens.
Click the Keyboard tab in the Accessibility Options window, then uncheck the box next to Use FilterKeys.

Click Apply.
The keyboard should now function normally.
