Keyboard not working properly

Hi!
Lately I've experienced a problem that makes it almost impossible to use my PC. My keyboard (Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000) doesn't work.
When I'm trying to type, the computer shortcuts into a random application instead.... I don't know what to do about it! I have tried to reset the keyboard to default settings, but nothing seems to be working. Please help me out
I am using vista and my mouse works flawless..
Any help I appreciated

Make sure your F lock is off, and the Ctrl key is not stuck. Won't hurt to change the batteries also.
