Keyboard problem with BIOS.

Hi, just bought a new gaming PC and after mounting the components and having the computer ready to install the OS i turned it on. To my surprise my keyboard didn't work for the BIOS interface of the new motherboard.
Now here is the thing: my keyboard is USB (CM Storm Quickfire), and I know some motherboards only work in the beginning with PS2 type keyboard until you enable the USB option later onwards. I don't have a PS2 keyboard around and all my friends only have laptops or USB keyboards as well. The cheapest PS2 keyboard I can buy in my area is 12 bucks, which I don't feel like spending for pressing two 'F-keys' and 'Enter' unless it's completely necessary.
I got angered by the situation so I decided to keep trying with the USB keyboard in different slots, mainly the ones at the back. To my surprise, the fifth time I tried it actually worked, it lit on and everything. It responded enough time to go to the boot options, but as soon as I needed to press the one last button for the DVD drive, it lost connection again. The lights on the keyboard remained on although the keys didn't work anymore. I kept trying to get it to respond and also rebooting and trying to do the process faster. Every 4-5th time my keyboard works, and always until I get to the point where I need to press the one last Enter button, no matter how fast I do it.
I had the DVD with my Windows setup in the drive. I've also tried to see if the DVD can boot automatically, but it seems that I have to select in the BIOS first that I want to boot from the drive.
I've also tried taking the battery out and back in or even changing the USB internal connections and SATA ports of the CD drive of place on the motherboard. What can I do now?

My keyboard as mentioned before is a COOLER MASTER QUICK FIRE USB GAMING KEYBOARD.
My new motherboard is an ASROCK 980 DE3/U3S3 AM3+

The rest of my components in case you need them are:
AMD FX6300 / TACENS RADIX VI 750W / GTX 660 2GB/ KINGSTON HYPER X FURY 1866 2X4GB / SEAGATE BARRACUDA 500GB 7200RPM / LG DVD RW 24x.

Will I need to buy a 12-pound-keyboard with PS2 only to press the two 'F-keys' and 'Enter' or is there any other thing I could try besides that? Thanks a lot in advance for your help. :)

Solution
There are two things I want you to try:

1. Reflash/Update your motherboard's BIOS using a USB stick, you'll find all the needed files and guidance on ASROCK's website.

Instructions: http://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSUI.asp?cat=BIOS

BIOS download: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/980DE3U3S3/?cat=Download&os=BIOS

2. When you get to this screen again, wait for 15 minutes and see if the PC is still frozen after that. It might seem pointless or illogical to you but one of my friends had a similar problem and waiting was the solution.
its a known issue with some usb keyboards. the reason is they take longer to boot than then ps2 keyboards so the pc doesnt see them fast enough to allow you to boot into bios from them.
all you can do is either send it back and get a keyboard with a eufi boot switch or buy a ps/2 (£3-£5 at asda) keyboard.

Ok, so here comes the point where I'm at my wit's end. I bought a cheap PS2 keyboard now, at least the keyboard is recognized from the beginning correctly and I can get into the standard BIOS of the MoBo.
I check that everything in the BIOS is correct. The RAM sticks both work and are properly recognized by it and with the right voltage supply, the processor and all its cores are properly recognized and work. The cooling works and temps are ok. I got my DVD drive in SATA2 and my 500GB HDD in SATA3 and they both are recognized properly by it as well. I selected the DVD as priority boot drive and the HDD as secondary boot drive. I introduce my DVD with the OS bootables and restart. It doesn't start the DVD with the Windows setup automatically. I press F11 and go to 'Boot from'. Then I get this:

After getting this onscreen, the small lights on my PS2 keyboard are still on but the keys wont react anymore and the screen freezes. I cant press neither 'Enter' to finally boot the DVD from the drive nor arrows or 'Esc' key.

I've already tried:
-Restarting. It persists.
- Getting another DVD with an older OS to see if it was a problem of the drivers. It persists.
-Taking battery out, pressing power button and waiting to reset CMOS. It persists.
-Changing the SATA ports on the MoBo for both the DVD drive and the HDD. It persists.
-Taking one memory stick only although both are recognized by the MoBo and work properly. It persists.
-Trying to install OS from the ISO mounted on a usb-stick. Problem persists.
-Changing AHCI to IDE to see if anything happened, problem persists.

MoBo is brand new out of the box, as well as all the rest of the components. Everything seems to work fine on it as for component recognition so I don't think it is a production error. Although it is the first PC that I build for myself, I've done some other ones for friends that have had no trouble and everything on mine is mounted and connected properly under my criteria. The PC and screen were over 700 pounds and I NEED it to work. What can I do or try next?
