Lenovo Ideapad 330 Keyboard Issue

Hello, I’ve some problems with my keyboard.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330 Ryzen 5 laptop that I purchased a couple of years ago and it does not store the L, K & spacebar keys while writing on documents. Tried keyboard tester as well.

I’ve to press those keys several times for it to work. I am a little bit confused, is it a mechanical problem? Or a software issue? Should I need to replace my keyboard? I am unable to fix the issue.

Any help should be appreciated.

does it happen in safe mode?

go to settings/recovery
next to advanced startup, click restart now
  • this restarts PC in a blue menu
  • choose troubleshoot
  • choose advanced
  • choose startup options
  • click the restart button
  • choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
  • Pc will restart and load safe mode
that would tell us if its software/drivers

another way is to boot off a Ubuntu live USB and see if you still have keyboard problems - would tell us if its windows

if it doesn't work in either, it could be dirty keys perhaps? Dust, hair, lint under keys can make them not work all the time. I cleaned my kb for same reason a few weeks ago
