Keyboard recognises a held down key as being pressed repeatedly

So I'm got this problem where when I hold down a key in my new keyboard it acts as if I'm spamming the key. This results in problems in-game when there's a button to display the leader broad and I'm trying to hold down the key to see it but the keyboard acts if I'm spamming the key and so you start to see flickering in the leader broad (as if you were repeatedly pressing the leaderbroad key rather than just holding it down). Similar issues occurs when you need to hold down a the key to speak in-game.

F5-F8 toggle different repeat rates – how quickly a key starts repeating while being held down and how quickly it repeats. The default is 1x, which is simply your setting as in Windows while for 2x and above the keyboard takes over. At 4x the rate is very fast, while 8x is so insanely fast we can't see many uses for it.

Function key + F5 sets it to default
Function key + 56 = 2x
Fn + F7 = 4x
Fn + F8 = 8x

for future reference.

Their idea of a manual is one big page thats hard to read. Fail

http://www.coolermaster.com/peripheral/keyboards/quickfire-xti/ it might be easier to read on a 1080p screen, i can't see away to disable but at least you can change it now and know combo. Should be way to disable combos in games.
