Keyboard regularly freezes, can't find problem

I have a pretty solid computer that can run most programs without a problem. However, my keyboard has started to freeze unexpectedly and it has gotten extremely frustrating. The keyboard freezes for usually 10 seconds to a minute. I have a Logitech K330 keyboard that shares a wireless usb with my mouse. My mouse used to freeze, but now it's only my keyboard. I've tried plugging it into all my usb ports, but when I plug it into my motherboard (gigabyte 78LMT) it seems to freeze less. The only other thing I have plugged in is my wireless wifi card. The keyboard is 2.5 feet away from the usb. Is there some type of fix for this or should I buy a better keyboard? (My current one was about $25 with a mouse)

You got a mouse and a keyboard for $25 and you are asking if you should replace it with a better one when it ceases to work right? Yes.

@sharky, i also face the similar problem, however try the external USB keyboard it may help

You could buy an extension for the usb port. My mouse had the same problem of freezing up and the solution was putting the wireless usb closer to the mouse.

BTW. did you try changing the batteries?
