Keyboard Settings Keep Changing Randomly

Hello everyone,
I have recently had to reinstall Windows 7 due to a problem my PC was having. It fixed the problem but I am now having trouble with my keyboard settings.

In my keyboard settings I have two options: The default setting which I can't delete which is US language with US keyboard, and UK language with French/Swiss keyboard. I would like it to stay on the French/Swiss keyboard option but it randomly keeps changing back to the other one without me pressing the keyboard shortcuts or anything.

Put in a fresh CMOS battery, reset (time, date, boot order etc...) and save the keyboard settings (if available) in the bios.
The keyboard bios chip may be defective....or may need to be (pins) cleaned.

If you have this type problem it might be that the CMOS battery is weak or dead...this battery allows settings to be saved.
When the battery dies: setting may go back to defaults.
