Keyboard software not working (on screen keyboard not working)

Hello, currently typing this on my phone because I'm having some awful keyboard issues. I spilled a small amount of water on my keyboard while playing a game and just wiped it off and thought all good. Apparently not because most of the letters except D don't work. My left click creates a shortcut when I click a program on desktop. Pressing tab once activates the alt tab menu, my on screen keyboard does the same thing as my actual keyboard as well. Really makes no sense to me, the software seems to be messed up.

This honestly had me pretty stumped for a bit over an hour. Wasn't making much sense because at first I thought my keyboard was broken but it also affected my mouse and on screen keyboard. I tried putting into safe mode once or twice but it just restarted to windows or black screened with mouse. After a while of mulling over it and searching for answers on the internet, thinking I may have fried my motherboard. I tried putting it into safe mode again and it booted through, keyboard and mouse functions were restored in safe mode so I just rebooted and it was resolved.
