Keyboard stops working when launching steam games.. Works perfectly otherwise.

I just inherited my brother in laws old gaming pc, as he just finished building a new one. I installed steam, and all my games that I have been currently playing on my laptop. Everything seemed great until I try to play a game. The keyboard stops working as soon as I launch a game. Any game. I tried several games, and have the same problem with all of them. Keyboard works perfectly fine until I launch the game. As soon as game launches my keyboard quits working altogether. I thought maybe it was a keyboard issue, but I plugged in a different wireless keyboard, and have the same exact problem. So I am thinking this is some kind of hardware device issue. I went into device manager, and uninstalled the keyboard. Then, plugged it back in so that it could reinstall. Still having the same problem. I also tried getting device drivers from logitech but they don't even have device drivers to download. Just their unifying software which I also installed. Still didn't solve anything. Weirdest problem ever, and I have no clue how to fix it. Anyone have ideas?

Got it to work.. Unplugging from the usb port, and plugging into a different usb port solved the problem. I had previously already unplugged it from the usb port & plugged it back in multiple times. Only difference is that I was plugging it back into the same port previously. For some reason plugging it into a different one solved the problem.
