I've recently just built a new computer about a week ago. Everything is running fine. Last night, I tried to launch a game (Batman: Arkham Asylum), and my keyboard wouldn't respond at all. I couldn't alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del out of it. I had to restart my computer. My keyboard was working fine for everything, until I tried to launch a game again, when my keyboard stopped working once more. After quitting out of the game, my keyboard works fine.
In short, it appears that my keyboard only malfunctions when I have a game open. I've reinstalled and updated my drivers, done my windows updates, run a virus scan, malware scan and windows defender, I've tried it with a different keyboard with the same result, so I doubt that it's an issue that's relegated to my keyboard.
I'm running out of ideas for how to fix it short of a complete reinstall of Windows. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would be beyond grateful.
Specs:
Windows 7: Home Premium
16gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
AMD 990FXA-UD3 Mobo
AMD FX9370 8 core CPU
If there's anything else I can provide to help resolve this issue, let me know.
