My keyboard randomly stopped working, and it seems like its not getting power. I tried to restart my PC. It kept freezing on startup at the bios screen. I unplugged the keyboard, booted the computer, and the boot went fine. I also unplugged the keyboard while stuck on the bios screen for 5 minutes+, and immediately the comp resumed booting. Then I had to log in, so I tried to plug it back in to type the password. Computer was responding to mouse.etc, but I couldnt type. I used my parents old dell keyboard, and everything works fine.
To fix I have tried: uninstalling drivers, but when I plug the keyboard back in, it says "device not recognized, device malfunctioned.etc". I did get the drivers to re-install, and the device manager claimed they were working, but my keyboard wouldnt respond. I've tried all my USB ports and other devices, all of them work fine. I also unplugged the power while the computer was off and that didn't help either.
Is my USB cable corrupted or...?
Windows 10, 8 gigs ram, FX-6350 CPU, AMD R7 260x
