KHX1600C10D3 (DDR3 800 8g/ 1-stick) an i add ram ?

Hi all
i have an AMD rig i built about 1 or 2 yrs ago.

I had gotten 1 stick of RAM 8G thinking that would be all i need
Now, it appears i like to forget 2 dozen tabs in Chrome open at a time
and possibly a video, or other program etc...

I have heard that RAM should be "paired", or bought together
with sequential serial numbers etc...
but dont know how much that is true ?

I can not seem to find the exact RAM to match it.
the stick is black , a single 8G and it says HyperX Fury

i would like to buy 1 stick to match it and give me 16G
but, if it will do more harm than good, not being able to find an exact match
i will buy a pair (suggestions?)
