Hi all,

I have a custom built PC w/ a Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller and it has stopped connecting to the internet. It gives me the yellow triangle/exclamation mark and says limited Ethernet connection. I ran the troubleshooting wizard and the first time it mentioned something about not having the latest driver, and then every time thereafter it says it "doesn't have a valid IP configuration." I called my ISP and they confirmed my Arris router is working (wireless works and so does my laptop when plugged in). I ran a command prompt and did "ping loopback" confirming my card was working/not losing data, and tried to do an ipconfig where it recognized an IPv6 connection but not an IPv4 connection and no IP address - apparently an IPv4 is what I was missing? I have Windows 8.1 and an MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Mobo. Does anyone know what may be wrong? I tried to search for updated drivers but it looks like there hasn't been any new ones published for this thing in a long time. To my knowledge, the last time my PC was on the Internet worked fine. I shut it off when not in use, and I had it turned off for a week or so. Turned it back on and it doesn't work. Thank you all in advance,

Jeff

On the back of my PC where the Ethernet cord plugs in, there is a solid red light and a blinking green light.
