Hi guys,

I'm using the Mz79i gaming ACK from MSI and it uses a piece of software to manage it's wireless and wired internet connectivity called Killer Network Manager, last night I downloaded the latest version of this software and it seems to have removed the drivers for both the LAN and the wifi adapters.

I can't system restore as there is no restore point set (stupid I know) and I cannot uninstall the software and install the drivers by themselves. Downloading the drivers from the website (separate computer) only provides zip files and I have tried uninstalling the driver via device manager and then replacing it with those. Unfortunately it simply seems to refresh and says they possess the most up to date version of the software. I've even tried reinstalling the older drivers, nothing seems to be working.

I cannot find the solution and I am at the end of my tether here. Please, does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

Please, I'm desperate here, there has to be some solution.

Hi,

Make sure that all Killer Network software has been uninstalled from your laptop first.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall your network adapters.
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to Killer Network.
- Once uninstalled press the Windows key + R at the same time and type %temp% and press OK. Delete everything in that window that will open, just skip the others that won't delete.
- Press the Windows key + R again and type %appdata% and press OK. Delete any folder that pertains to Killer Network software.
- Use the downloaded driver from MSI site to install the driver and reboot once the driver has been installed.

Sorry, it's a PC not a laptop. I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes, but I tried your solution anyway, but I still have the same problem.

I tried to run troubleshooting and windows detects that the drivers for ethernet and wireless have not been run, but the ethernet driver shows up in device manager.

Anyone got any ideas?
