Kindle first gen wont turn on and when plugged in the logo flashes onscreen

I have a kindle fire first gen. When I try and turn it on it does not do anything. When I plug it in it flashes the word "kindlefire" then turn off. it does this aslong as its plugged in. I do not have a custom recovery install and it is not picked up by ADB. Can I fix it and if so how

That dosnt work because the computer dosnt recognize the device
