Kingston 1 gig memory wont work on my asrock mother board g31m

I recently bought an asrock G31M-S motherboard the problem is my Kingston 512 Memory works fine but my new brand Kingston 1 Gig wont work why?

What do you mean by won't work, did you install it at the same time as the 512MB? Does the computer POST, does it beep?

no it did't..... but since then i switched the 1 gig 667 to a 800mhz and everything is running OK now....
