Should i buy Kingston FURY Renegade with or without the heatsink? How much will it help or increase longevity and is it really neccessary?
thanx

Necessary?

Hardly.

But maybe your "necessary" differs from the dictionary.

A heatsink might cost 10 or 20 bucks.

If you used one, would you sleep better or still be anxious?

If a heatsink is a cheap fix to relieve worry, why not use one?

I've never used one, signifying almost nothing.

Longevity regarding drives is highly speculative. HIGHLY.

Some people believe strongly in the correlation between heat and longevity and aren't about to change their opinion. Why fight that when there is a cheap fix.

That depends on where and how it's installed. In a laptop it just wouldn't fit with a cooler. Many desktop PCs already have sort of a heat sink under which to mount M.2 SSD which is usually more than enough.
Other part is SSD itself, some run hotter than others and in specs you can see limits. Modern ones can also throttle if overheated but that might happen only for a few seconds, Unless you are "frying" it with writing huge files on it for long time, you wouldn't even notice speed difference.

can you explain please? you mean heatsink is already on the motherboard? i dont see any heatsinks inside mine pc. i can tell you the model of mogo and casing if you need.
i wanna get this one, it's the highest read/write speed (7300 Mbps) i've found

i know that all gen 5 ones come with heatsink, this is gen 4

Which MB do you have ? Heat sinks on MB that have them are usually disguised as a cover for M.2 socket.
Have a look at my MB for instance, it has heat sink for top M.2slot while same one with 570 chipset has both.
