No matter what I try the sticks just won't work. I have no OC on the run I have set the BIOS to its default when I could start my pc with old ram I had. So the modules are not wrong and I tried running the Kingston HXB vice versa in one slot and they work fine. When I try to put it in dual nothing happens. It powers but stands still at the ram check light. This morning when I turned on my computer nothing happend. It wont even boot with a single stick. So I entered my old ram again and there my pc started up.

My PC:
Motherboard : asus p8z68-v
RAM : 2 x 4gb Kingston Hyper X beasts 2400mhz
CPU :Intel i5 3570k
Power supply : Thermaltake 730w
(Dont think the rest is neccesary like GPU etc)

Will they both work/play in slots 1-2? If so what CPU cooler, you may have it too tight in a corner or side, loosen it up, then snug down to screw tight and try them in dual, if the CPU is out of level it may be 'losing' a channel from not having full pin contact

Im using a stock cooler so there is no way that it can be in the way for pressing out ram. Also I always double check if the ram is seated right because this bord only has clicks at the top and not the bottom. So every time I insert them I make sure that they are fully seated. Also I check with a1 and a2 but it does not work in anyway. But I since I got the motherboard I used them in b1 and b2 because its a little space from the cpu cooler. I had this problems actualy since day one but after for say 3 restart the pc is booting up and it barely happend, but one thing I forgot to mention is when my pc didnt want to boot 2 days back for the first time I wasnt using the pc and it turned off completely by itself. Not shutting down just went off. There wasnt anything running on the pc and I saw this because I was busy on my phone and sitting on my bed. This was weird and since then he never booted again in dual channel vice versa. Only on single channel in b1. Havent tried single channel in a1 but dont think it is neccesary. Like I said it wont even boot with a single ram stick now. Only with my old ram wich runs at 1333mhz. Do not know what to do if I also already did a full system default reload in the bios.

So after a while I had the time to give the Hyper X Beasts a go once more. This is another book that I'm writing. Just a warning in advance. I checked for any broken pins or maybe thermal paste on the pins or where it shouldn't be on the CPU but everything was fine. Put on new thermal paste made sure all psu connectors are in place on the motherboard, I did do a reset on the BIOS and also removed the cmos battery and reinserted it again just for safety precautions. Made sure the hdd's were unplugged etc. started testing with one ram stick in dimm b1, nothing happened after a few power on and offs. Tried again in a1 nothing happened. Then after a while of struggling it booted in dimm a1. Rebooted a few times to make sure it still works and inserted the second ram stick in dimm a2. It booted instantly and made sure that everything in the BIOS was set to optimized defaults. Rebooted a few times nothing went wrong. Inserted a single ram stick in dimm b1 and it booted up the first time after it went to a stand still at the VGA led the first time. Rebooted a few times to make sure that it sticks and it worked. Inserted the second ram stick in dimm b2 and there I was back to square one. When it boots up it stands still at the ram led. In patience i tried another couple of times(less than I have tried when I first posted to this site and it just did not want to work at all). After it went for a stand still at the vga led again but rebooted again and it went to windows and I was very happy that i finally got them to work in b1 and b2 again without any problems. Rebooted a few times and there was no problem, but here comes the big but... I left my pc powered off for about 5-10 mins and then suddenly again I was back to square one. Rebooted 3 times and it loaded windows again. So I'm back to where I was a few months ago and since I got this motherboard, CPU and ram combo.... This used to happened from time to time. There is no overclocking involved and its running at 1600mhz in dual. The last time i powered off the PC I didn't even wait a few minutes and rather just went by powering it straight on again after all the fans had stop. The first time same routine the second time it booted. I seriously do not know what to do anymore. I'm glad to see that the ram is actually working again but from time to time there still seems to be problems booting and I'm stressed that this will cause the same routine of nothing actually booting like it was a few weeks back and I really do not want to go back to my old ram sticks again. This ram is way sexier, better and faster and I cant work on a slow PC again if I know I actually have so much better. Any comments or recommendations would be much appreciated, because I have no idea what to do anymore. Its working but not in the right way. I did not try a few moments of leaving the PC off with the ram in dual in the a channels, but I'm sure that if its happening in the b channel it will also be the same in the a channel. Also I really do not like the blue sticking out on the dimms if its in the a channel. Thank you very much for your time and I really hope that you can give me a solution and what may cause this. I'm the type of guy that if something is fixed I would like to know what the problem was and what happened, especially at the begin of this all. In the meantime I'm going to leave my PC on or on idle and hope that it does not go all ballistic again by switching off by itself without any way of passing the post setup with the Hyper X Beasts. Can not game on the other ram... Thank you...

no there's no OC on the CPU, did not even think of an OC because I'm on a stock cooler, the highest it can run is 3. 8ghz when it swtiches to turbo, i do have another psu that i can try and i thought it would eventualy come to a BIOS update, but I'm very sketchy about a BIOS update for maybe something go wrong but I'm sure it won't. I'll give it a go when i get the chance again and come back to you. Thank you very much
