Greetings everybody, I just bought Kingston HyperX 3k 120GB SSD for my laptop. I slapped this into my hard drive slot and installed windows 8.1. Its running smoothly but i got a minor problem. I was running the HDTune Pro for statistics, and it says my SSD is running with 63 degrees celcius with gaming.

This is what it looks like right now. I was wondering if this is normal, or something is wrong here?

Thank you.

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. The HyperX 3K SSD has an operating temperature of 0°C to 70°C and storage temperatures of -40°C to 85°C. While 63°C is close to the maximum, considering this is in a laptop which typically runs hotter than a desktop due to limited airflow between components and vents getting blocked from the way it is positioned it is not worrisome. When gaming your video card would be generating more heat which can add more heat to other components in the laptop due to the way heat spreads within it. If the SSD is constantly running at high temperatures (at 70°C) then it may be worrisome. For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another...
