i have an APU a8 6600k with 4x2 kingston hyperx blu 1.65v
1600 ram. i read that my apu benefit on faster speeds.
can someone teach me how to overclock my 2v4g 1600 1.65v to 1866 safely and stable?
tia ^^
I'd try manually setting to 1866/10 and the base timings to 10-10-10-27, 1.7 and raise the CPU/NB voltage to 1.2.....think that should be stable, then if you want could try lowering voltages a bit at a time

Windows has built in diagnostics, can run Memtest (though I'd say 3-5 passes), I often just run some BM (BenchMark programs like some of the 3dMark ones), or can try running Prime

Sounds good, from here it's all experimentation to finalize the best and most stable settings Might keep a short log of timings, voltages, etc so you have fallback 😉 Have fun!
