Kingston HyperX Blu Black Edition 1600Mhz running on 800Mhz

Okay, i bought a 2x4GB RAM Kit, In BIOS I set fixed speed 1600Mhz (which was made on) but CPU-Z shows only 800Mhz (see picture). How is this possible?

that's correct duel sided/channel memory 800 +800 = 1600

DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM is designed to transfer data twice per clock cycle. 800Mhz x 2 transfers per clock = 1600Mhz effective.

Yes DDR = DOUBLE Data rate so true freq (800) times 2 = effective rate (1600) (though the Double sided has nothing to do with it, there's also single sided DDR which is still Double data rate
