The two headsets are exactly the same spec wise, so sound quality should be the same on both. The only difference is that the cloud two comes with a virtual 7.1 surround sound card. I can't speck for how good the 7.1 is as I don't own this headset but the one I use has has virtual 7.1 and I love it, however it just depends how well it is done. If you want the virtual 7.1 surround sound get the cloud two, if not get the cloud one.
