Hello, first time poster with a few questions. I'm also a first time builder looking for some advice. Ok I have an Asrock 960gm/u3s3 FX board. Now when I looked at the supported memory I found Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/8G.
I looked into it and the Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX was the only thing I could find. I was wondering if their was a major difference between the two and if the version with the X would still operate on my motherboard. Sorry if hard to follow. I'm very new to pc building, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok thanks for the answer. Guess I will be looking to order them soon. Just wanted to make sure the motherboard would support the ram before spending money on something that wouldn't work on the board.
