You are right as nobody overclocks memory. lol.

I don't see a problem either if valued-class of memory came with heatspreaders. Who cares.

[citation][nom]lassik[/nom]Hate the name "Kingston Hyper X Predator", sounds like it belongs as a Street Fighter title.[/citation]
Nah, it's just a simple ripoff of the Aerocool's "X Predator" case name. :)

These heat spreaders are getting rediculous. Tom's should start listing the min/max height clearance going foward. Or list which popular CPU HSF's will/won't clear with these modules. The insanity needs to be checked.

Instead of Memory manufactures continuing selling 60-nm memory modules with really tall heat spreaders, why not go the route that Samsung is taking with its 30nm low profile memory like the 8GB MV-3V4G3D/US ram. Half the height, less manufacturing cost, and overclocks higher frequencies with lower latencies.

This one definitely look to high for many cpu coolers, especially on the X79 platform where the memory banks usually are very close to the cpu on the mb.

I think I seen this predator memory on TV

No Chris Hansen...I didn't think she was 14, I have dyslexia...I thought she said 41!

Maybe there's some sort of collaboration between closed-loop CPU cooler makers and memory manufacturers to get people to use their coolers.

CONSPIRACY!
