Kingston Micro SD card not readable with lots of data

I've got a 32GB Kingston Micro SD card. If I copy only a few files on it (music), it works fine. I can insert the card in my Sony Experia and play the music. But when I copy lost of data on it (around 16 GB), the card is slow and not readable from my phone. My phone says card is damaged.
When I format the card again and copy a few files it works great, but as soon as I go big again it stops working.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support, here to offer our assistance. To make sure the card is formatted properly, it is best to format the card in it's intended device, i.e. your Sony Experia. Or if you want to format it on your computer, it is best to format it with the SD Card Associations Format Tool to make sure it is formatted per it's specifications. This can be found here: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/index.html

Thanks. Seems like the phone should handle 64GB, but I can see some people have trouble with 64GB. 32GB should then be okay. Taking it back might cost me a bit as it was an online purchase.
