Kingston SSD 480Gb on external USB3

Hi, I just wanted to know if it was a good idea to put an HDD SSD drive into an external USB3 or if I removed the DVD drive and install the SSD into an outlet that will replace the DVD drive. I already have a SSD as the main disk drive, same brand and size

I use couple of SSDs as external drives with USB3.1 connection. Great speed and price/size comparing to USB sticks of same capacity. Good only for storage though. If you install it in the tray (i suppose it's a laptop) than you could also install programs on it.
