Okay so I recently purchased a new kingston 240gb ssd and I can find it in my bios and have it as my second boot option, how do I find the ssd in disc management and format it? Do I have to download something for it to appear?

Hey there, Flog__.

Basically you shouldn't have to install anything in order for the SSD to appear in Disk Management. Would you please be so kind as to post a screenshot of what you see about your drive in Disk Management (you can use imgur.com to upload the image)?
If you can see a Disk there (e.g. Disk 1) with a red arrow, this means that you have to initialize the SSD first and after that you should be able to partition and format it as you see fit. Here's how to initialize a drive: How to initialize or write a signature to a secondary hard drive or Solid State drive in Windows.
If that doesn't seem to be the issue, you should try the drive with a different SATA port and different cables, to see if the issue still persists...

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
