Have you checked BIOS or Disk Management if you are able to boot into Windows? I'd suggest you to see if the SATA mode for the SSD is set on AHCI in BIOS. Another thing you should take a look at is the SSD's cable connections to your laptop, make sure everything is plugged properly. I'd also refer to the laptop manual and find the Factory Reset option in BIOS, it might help you recognize the drive. Keep in mind that this procedure would restore your BIOS settings back to defaults, so you might need to know how to re-configure them afterwards. You can use the first method in this tutorial:

I'd also check the SATA/chipset drivers for your laptop/motherboard model on the manufacturer's website and make sure everything is up-to-date.
