Hi everyone,
Suddenly after turning on my computer today I get a prompt for an HDD password. I have never set a password for the HDD, haven't installed any new antivirus softwarte or anything else I can think of that would have caused this.
I am using a Kingston SSD on an AsRock motherboard. It's definately a BIOS looking prompt. If I disconnect the SSD, I can get into BIOS just fine, so it is definately not the BIOS password. It's the Windows 10 OS SSD, so I can't do much without it.
Any ideas of what may have caused this and how to fix it?
I have searched the web and only thing that I have found was this: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB90225&locale=en_US
Even though I don't use McAfee, when I try the workaround and enter appl1an it tells me to enter the Master Password, but then nothing else works...
Thank you very much in advance!
