I bought a 120GB Kingston SSD and it shows up in the bios and when I select another drive and go to "properties" > "hardware". However it does not show up in the Disk management at all, therefor i can not partition or format the SSD. I have downloaded all the software and firmware and even those show the SSD is present and working perfectly. It is brand new and the 240GB counterpart I bought at the same time shows up perfectly fine, yet I still cant make it appear in "my computer" or "disk management". Is there something you can recommend I do to find it? I am on windows 10.
Many Thanks

Welcome, @Sora__Xabiere!

If the SSD shows up in BIOS properly, I'd recommend you try swapping the SATA cable and the SATA port where the drive is connected on the motherboard. It could be a faulty connection and lack of enough power supply for Windows to detect it. I'd also suggest you check the SATA mode for it in BIOS and make sure it is set to AHCI. You might want to try the 'Rescan Disks' option in Disk Management as well, and see if that will help you detect the new hardware.
Another thing you could do is check how the SSD appears on another computer, if you have access to one. This way, we'll be able to find out what might be source of the issue. Check your SATA controller & Chipset drivers on the motherboard manufacturer's...

Check your SATA controller & Chipset drivers on the motherboard manufacturer's official website. Make sure you got the latest versions installed for your mobo.

Keep me posted with the troubleshooting! :)
