I'm considering buying these to improve the sound quality of my system (currently the onboard Realtek CL892). Very basic question, but I'm confused after reading the Klipsch manual online. It says "...since it has its own internal amplifier, it was designed to use the "line out" connector of the computer. Connection to the speaker level output jack might result in poor sound quality."

Very basic question, but I've always plugged my speakers into the lime green connector. The manual makes it sound like that's not the right one. I looked at the Asus website under specifications/connectivity and out of the 5 jacks none of them say line out.

Please help me understand what they're (Klipsch) talking about.

If anyone is interested I called Klipsch and they said it plugs into the green one like normal, that is the line out connector. The speaker level output jack is the headset jack. Also asked how long the satellite speaker wires are, he looked at the one on his desk and said they're about 3' long. That seems pretty short to me. Plugging into the sub on the floor you don't have a lot of wire left for decent placement on a computer desk.
