Knocking sound while playing. LiteOn eTAU108

Hello,
My external DVD burner developed a knocking sound while reading. It's synchronized with the LED. There are no problems with reading itself, or any other for that matter, it just became so loud recently, that it interferes with music being listened to.
Any advice, per chance?

Hey there, Antoni.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do in terms of troubleshooting an optical drive. You could give it a go with different SATA cables and port, to see if the same thing happens. This way if you the issue does not occur again, it would mean that there was a problem with either a cable or the SATA port. If the issue still persists, perhaps it might be on its way to fail and you should contact the manufacturer's customer support for more info.
