I disagree about the hacking. After I received my Bachelors degree in Microsoft engineering I focused on hacking for the next for years. I now work cyber security and harden tactical systems our special ops guys use behind enemy lines . the reason I got the job. Hacking teaches network security.

There is a certain amount of truth in that "hackers" are generally well versed in network security. It is good that you are gainfully employed doing something that you are good at, serves a good cause, and you seem to enjoy.

That being said, I wouldn't advertise what I do quite so openly. Just sayin'.

BTW, did you mean software engineering vice Microsoft engineering?
