komputerbay Drr2 1066 only working at 800 mhz on Asus p5e

Unfortunately I bought these komputerbay sticks because I didn’t look hard enough for other brands with ddr2 at 1066mhz, at the time I didn’t find deals that sell 8gb at 1066, only komputerbay and the reviews was not bad
The motherboard does not recognize 1066, only 800mhz, I tried to set it manually at 1066, when I save the configuration, the motherboard shuts down, and then powers on, but does not boot, I left it for a while but its just not responding, after I shut it down and on, the motherboards power up, for 2 sec, then shutdown, then boots with the message overclocking failed, then I can go F1,F2 keys for Default settings or Bios to try a diferent setting, this happens every time I try a setting like the settings komputerbay recomended,

I contacted them and they told me try 5-7-7-25 and 7-7-7-25 at 2.1 and I get the same problem. They asked a few things but their final response is try different timings, I honestly would not have bought 1066 if I knew I was going to need to play Tetris with the timings , how many combinations can I boot up with 4 digit combination of how many numberS? , the motherboard alowes many possible combinations of timings it's just going to take a week to try them all and ill probably mess up the memory =/

well the timings did work on 7-7-7-25 and 7-7-7-25 on bouth 1.8v and 2.1v Dram Voltage settings, but leaving memory frecuency on the auto setting, but again, the motherboard does not recognize the 1066, only 800. And memory works ok at 800. No errors on memtest, so my problem is probably just the timings, but i don't know how to proceed

Does anyone know that timings can i try besides 5-7-7-25 and 7-7-7-25? this motherboard actually have more the 4 adjustable settings on the memory, i have no clue what to try, i gave the komputerbay support all this info i posted here, seems they have no clue either, or they probably just dont care.😀

I would try overclocking the CPU to 3GHz using the 1333fsb setting in the BIOs. You might get some faster memory straps doing that. The 1600fsb that's hidden on the X38 chipset will strap back down to 800 speed. If it's the SLACP chip it should do that on stock Voltage. The tape mod should reset the BIOS also.
