I posted a while ago about the Kotor2 petition to restore the
proper ending which was found in the data files by other
players. The petition now has 2107 signatures. That's a lot of
customers.

Here's the link again:

For LucasArts to really notice, you have to have 15K to 20K, really.

Also, hand-written letters speak much louder than petitions.

And face the Sith? I think not.

Even one hand written letter gets far more attention than 20 thousand
online signatures, even if it's thrown away unread.

One single woman was able to keep Cagney & Lacey on the air after its first
season with handwritten letters. The fact is, letters speak louder than
petitions. Petitions are just signatures - which isn't exactly hard to get
due to the fact it's just that, a scribble -- and can even be forged.

However, letters work far more, because someone

a) wrote out what they thought
b) took the time to put it on paper
c) bought the envelop
d) bought the stamp
e) put it in the mailbox outside

f) Someone may actually read them. Even real (ie, non-online)
petitions get delivered to people who may sometimes read them.
I think that many of these online petitions are just places for
people to gripe, and that no thought given to how to deliver the
final petition to anyone.

Well it's definitely on my "wait until fully patched list." I have KOTOR2.
CTD's are quite frequent. Very annoying.

Yes, because the Sam & Max petition proved that Lucas Arts really pays
attention to these signatures.

I have an ATI card. I note that the box doesn't say "for Nvidia cards
only." >:-\

ATI has horrible drivers that you upgrade downgrade all the
time. The extra $100-$200 you spend on an Nvidia card saves you
this trouble.

I admit I've only had my Radeon 9800 Pro for relatively short while, but
I've played at least 20 or 30 games on it and never had a problem so far
with driver issues.

I think ATI at one time had serious driver issues, back in the days of the
first RADEON cards. But I think they've gotten a lot better. They must be
doing something right to have landed the XBOX 2 deal with Microsoft.

I used to be a big Nvidia fan. And before that a 3Dfx fan. Things change.
Fast. Especially in the video card world.

I'm downgraded at the moment: Cat 4.11 for Kotor 2.

Make that wait for user reviews and comments.
