Cam is currently down (Program used to control NZXT Kraken x42). I have an I7 4790k processor being cooled by it and while the program is online I can adjust how much it cools my cpu and during gaming I don't see it go above 60C. However while the program is offline I can't. While default settings are on it gets to about 70-75C gaming and 60-65C idle. Is this safe or considered normal? I remember my $40 air cooler putting in more work than this thing. The installation process with it was also dreadful. The retention bracket on the back of the motherboard is a joke and won't stay in place no matter how I adjust it which could be the problem.

So I had to oil the screw holes in the retention brackets to get the screws all the way through making it a tighter balanced fit on my cooler which probably helped along with using msi command center while cam is down to control the fans. idle temps are now 35-45 and gaming topped out at 69 while average being about 60. Hopefully when cam goes back online it will cool down a bit more when gaming, but it was mostly NZXT's flawed retention bracket .-.
