im having trouble installing my kraken x62 i have watched the nzxt video and followed part of the animated manual. the backplate that sticks through the motherboard is longer than my motherboard is thick when i screw the standoffs into the backplate i can move the backplate in and out. is this by design or am i doing something wrong? mobo is a hero vii and cpu 4790k

im using the 115x plate and the correct screws. i have not tried putting the pump on yet. wasnt sure if it was safe since the backplate is still loose.

I am having the same issue. When everything is tightened down as far as it will go, its not tight. The waterblock is loose on the CPU....like several mm of wiggle. I'm having this issue on an Asus maximus IX code and a 7700k.

I am having the same problem, however when I have tightened all four screws (they actually reach the end of the threads, no more tightening possible) the pump seems to be fixated. However, the liquid temperature does not exceed 31 degrees C, even though my is around 80 degrees C when stress testing it. This seems odd to me, as it looks like it is not cooling the CPU very efficiently. When de-mounting the pump, the thermal paste seems to have been squeezed nicely all over the CPU surface.
