I really like playing KSP(Kerbal Space Program) and my GPU can reach up to 60 FPS on high(not full) settings. The problem i'm having is with craft that have a large amount of parts, then i get fps drops and stutters. This would indicate a RAM issue, so in order to fix this I tried changing it's priority to above normal like i do with most games that give me stutters. But the task manager just tells me access is denied no matter what I try changing the priority to. No game has ever done this to me before, can someone tell me why it won't let me or try and help me fix it because right now i can't dock another space station module at 7 FPS with stutters.

Solution
Changing the priority will have minimal to no effect and the reason for the high part count lag is actually CPU based. Ksp is a 32bit program with very poor if any multithreading and since every single part has its physics calculated every single frame more parts equals more lag. Even titanic ally powerful systems struggle once the part count reaches 200ish this is just an effect if the current state of the game.
Priority probably won't help anyways. Priority only helps when programs are fighting for available RAM. What is your CPU and CPU usage? Large amount of parts means a ton of physics calculations being made every second which is probably hammering the CPU.
