I was just curious...im going to be buying a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP in a bit with a 512meg stick of pc 2700 ram. With the mobo, will the ram automatically be detected as 333mhz? or will it be at 266 and i h ave to overclock it?

Thanks

Matt

that really depends on what the mobo 'defaults' to.

anyway its not hard to run the ram at 333.
just go into the bios and fin dthe mem speed options. hint: read your motherboard manual for details!

and having 333mhz ram ISNT overclocking.
overclocking is when you push it beyond 333 or increase the system bus speed (FSB)
