Afternoon, All,
First the back story: I am building a miniITX, watercooled, Devil's Canyon, 1080 game machine in a Fractal Design Node 202 case.
During the last hard freeze I had a second story pipe burst. This brought the first floor ceiling down...right on top of the case parts I had spread out for my build!
To make matters worse, while shovelling out the debris of soggy sheet rock, I managed to throw out the video card riser parts! (YIKES).
Expecting to spend nearly as much as I did for the whole case, I went in search of the parts. To my shock I discovered that Fractal Design does not sell parts for their cases. Fractal USA told me that as a result of the VAT (value added tax) in Sweden Fractal would have to pay tax on a whole case....thus they do not sell parts!
What they DO do, however, is GIVE away parts. I was told to provide the case serial number to satisfy the Swedish tax men, and a prepaid shipping label, and they would send me the riser card and associated parts at no cost!
And that is exactly what happened, so KUDO's to Fractal Design!
