I am under the impression that almost everything you buy on Aliexpress has not paid the licensing fee.

Since most of the world's electronic manufacturing is done in China (China has very lax environmental laws) there is a lot of competition which means that the quality must be good to minimize returns. This quality tends to spill over into the cheapo market.

So the quality is about equal, but you're stealing from the designers and polluting the earth.

I have gotten the kind of jumpers that are in the Frenove kit and they do not make good contact. I don't know where to get good jumper wires. The Larvin kit looks like a better value, but "better" is a relative term.
